AN intention to provide concessions for struggling ratepayers in Wentworth Shire Council’s draft operational plan for the 2019/20 financial year was adopted during Wednesday’s meeting.
Shire ratepayers will have 28 days from tomorrow to provide comment on the draft plan for 2019/20, which includes a 2.7 per cent maximum rate increase permitted by the pricing regulator.
Councillors voted to put the draft plan on public exhibition with an intention to remove the $30 levy charge per property and the 2.7 per cent increase for water and sewer charges after an amended motion was put forward by Cr Sue Nichols.
