MALLEE candidates grappled with how to respond to the high cost for regional families to send children to university.
An attendee at last Thursday’s Horsham federal election forum described access to tertiary education as “one of the biggest inequities” of living in a rural area, particularly with accommodation expenses.
“It’s not the cost of university, it’s the cost of living away,” she said.
