Anzac Day in Sunraysia: Fortunate and free in Merbein

THE events of recent weeks were at the forefront of the minds of guest speakers at yesterday’s Merbein Anzac service at Kenny Park.

“We must never have such wars again, with the terror attacks in New Zealand and Sri Lanka, we must become people of peace,” Sister Carmel Setford of Lady of the Sacred Heart Church said.

“We have to let go of grudges...and try to live in peace with each other, and we have to start right here with our neighbours and friends.”
