A SUNRAYSIA junior baseball team will compete at the national championships for the first time in six years.

The Under 17 representative side won their way through by making the grand final at the Victorian championships this month in Geelong.

Sunraysia were third after the round-robin stage of the competition but won a second-versus-third playoff to book their spot.
