IF Sunraysia residents were questioning why it felt unusually balmy in the early hours of yesterday morning, chances were the abnormally high overnight temperature played a role.
The mercury reached 19C which marked a cool change in comparison to the year before when residents sweltered through a 20.1C night in mid-April.
Despite just missing out on breaking a statistical record, the surprisingly warm night still sat well above the average April low of 11.7C.
