Speed thrills: High-flying action at Timmis Speedway

TRADITIONALLY it’s the biggest motorsport weekend in the Sunraysia and that’s certainly the case this weekend at Timmis Speedway as strong fields across a wide variety of classes converge on Mildura.

With a crack field of late model sedans, wingless sprints and the AMCA nationals all stars, the local heroes are in for a torrid time as interstate and regional Victorian racers descend.

One of the toughest fields in Australian AMCA national racing sees Mildura’s SA champion Darren McCarthy, niece Kelsey Allen, Frank Thierry and Malcolm Crick taking on more than 20 cars from across SA, Victoria and NSW.
