THE addition of two new wheelchair-accessible vehicles to the Sunassist fleet will help cater for a growing demand, Sunassist executive officer Richard Garlick says.

The pair of Kia Carnivals, worth about $80,000 each, hit the road two weeks ago, increasing the fleet of wheelchair-accessible vehicles from six to eight.

One vehicle was funded through the State Government’s Pick My Project initiative, which saw local residents vote for the $73,989 project.
