SEVEN La Trobe University students were nominated for their outstanding achievements in the community at the Youth Services Awards last week, with visual arts student Loughie Kemp taking home the Individual Artist Prize.

Loughie,19, who volunteered his time to curate “The Best of Bold” exhibition at the Museum of Innocence, was delighted to be acknowledged for his work.

He said said artists often suffered from self-doubt and receiving an award was “a symbol of support and a reminder to continue doing what I love”.
