Pump embargo on river system

A PUMPING embargo on the Barwon-Darling river system starts this week to protect environmental flows from releases at Copeton and Glenlyon dams.

The NSW Government yesterday said the temporary restriction would start tomorrow for unregulated A, B and C class access licences on the Barwon-Darling from Mungindi to Tilpa and remain until June 30.

Water will be available for stock and domestic use, town supply and critical needs.
