SUNRAYSIA Burundian Garden participants shared some of their maize crop to celebrate harvest on Monday.
An aroma of roasted maize was in the air as about 20 guests, including Mildura Mayor Simon Clemence, councillors and Member for Mildura Ali Cupper tasted maize from the paddock.
The one-acre garden was established in 2016 to connect local refugee and migrant groups to vacant land, allowing them to grow traditional crops as part of the Food Next Door Project.
