BUPA Aged Care residents and staff cheered and celebrated as three staff members and a resident shaved their heads yesterday as part of the World’s Greatest Shave.
More than $2000 was raised, which will go towards giving families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need, as well as funding vital research that will help more people survive blood cancers like lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma, while improving their quality of life.
This was the second year staff member Lynette Odgers had shaved her hair as part of the Leukemia Foundation event, while it was the first time for Linda Leerson and Cherryl Smith.
