COALITION infighting over calls to build a new coalfired power station with government money showed “complete neglect” for the Mallee.

Independent candidate Cecilia Moar blasted this week’s push by former Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce, which Member for Mallee Andrew Broad appeared to back, for a new coal plant in Queensland.

Ms Moar said it demonstrated that major parties were being led by donors rather than sensible policy based on evidence.
