The National Party is out-of-touch.
A total of 23 per cent of people in Mildura live on less than $650 a week, a statistic reflected across many towns in the Mallee electorate.
Re: Sunraysia Daily article ‘Mallee MP Andrew Broad steers clear of funding announcements’, a lack of understanding from the incumbent suggests he has always been distant from the wide needs of the great Mallee community.
Every opportunity to hide the incumbent has been embraced, equally promoted by rolling out election promises by a fly-in senator to create photo opportunities for a Nationals candidate. This has not gone unnoticed.
Throughout my campaigning, I continue to hear people speak of The Nationals being disconnected.
If Mallee wants more of this disengagement and disrespect, we can shrug our shoulders and continue to cast the same vote. Or we can stand up and demand community representation away from this out-of-touch National Party machine.
