ST Joseph’s College students celebrated the arrival of thousands of new resident bees this week.

The addition of three beehives to the existing community garden was funded via a WDEA Works Foundation grant of $5000 as part of the Paddock-to-Plate event organised by VCAL students.

A three-course lunch, which raises money for local charities, will be produced using fresh produce sourced from the garden and surrounding growers, including honey from their own beehives.
