A MURRAY-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) office being opened in Mildura would give Victorian irrigators a voice into how the Basin Plan (MDBP) is administered, the Victorian Opposition says.
More than 20 jobs will be created in Mildura within 18 months after the Federal Government on Tuesday announced it would base an office in Mildura.
Opposition Water spokeswoman Steph Ryan said having MDBA staff based in Mildura sent a good signal to Victorian irrigators their concerns about the MDBP were being heard.
