ACCLAIMED singer songwriter Neil Murray has long had an affinity with the Australian outback.

Watching from afar as the ecological disaster unfolded along the Darling River, anger and sadness grew inside him, so he used that emotion and penned the song Cry My Darling.

“I just think it’s been a disgrace,” Murray said yesterday of what has happened in the river system.
