BALRANALD Mayor Alan Purtill says boosting infrastructure for inland rivers would be a priority as he contests the seat of Murray for Country Labor at this month’s NSW state election.
Cr Purtill said improving drought assistance – which he said was nonexistent in his community – would be another focus.
NSW Labor at the weekend announced it would create a $1 billion water fund if elected on March 23.
