In the Classroom: Introduce a love for Dr Seuss

MERBEIN P-10 College students celebrated the 115th birthday of American children’s author Dr Seuss last week.

Theodor Seuss Geisel, known for his work writing and illustrating more than 60 books under the pen name Doctor Seuss, created the characters of the Cat in the Hat, Grinch or Horton the elephant.

About 62 students from the Seussville 2-3 unit enjoyed Dr Seuss food – Hop on Pop-corn, Horton’s nests, Truffala Tree seeds, Mulberry St Muffins, Green Eggs on toast, Cat in the Hat marshmallows and lots more to celebrate his birthday.
