THE NSW Government has been slammed for seemingly allowing a mining company to tap into the Wentworth to Broken Hill pipeline while communities on the lower Darling River are struggling to access water for critical human needs.
Cobalt Blue Holdings chief executive Joe Kaderavek, in a statement to the ASX last week, congratulated WaterNSW on the construction and commissioning of the controversial 270km pipeline.
“The project will provide long-term water security for the community by supplying up to 37.4 megalitres per day to the Essential Water treatment plant at Broken Hill,” Mr Kaderavek said in the statement.
