THE Victorian grains industry is gearing up for this year’s cropping season, primed with the latest agronomic advice and recommendations to assist grower decision-making from paddock preparation and sowing through to harvest and storage.
Groundwork for the upcoming season was laid at the Grains Research and Development Corporation’s (GRDC) Bendigo Grains Research Update which attracted a record attendance of almost 340 advisers, consultants, researchers, agribusiness, growers and other industry personnel.
The annual two-day event played a pivotal role in equipping the state’s grains industry with new knowledge, insights and outcomes from cutting-edge research and development, GRDC grower relations manager – South, Courtney Ramsey said.
