HEALING, repentance, hope and a call for change were the intentions behind the Blessing of the Rivers ceremony on Saturday.
More than 100 people from all walks of life gathered at the junction of the Murray and Darling rivers in Wentworth in a grassroots action to respond to the crisis facing the Murray-Darling river system.
Indigenous elders, Sisters of Mercy, community leaders and citizens came together to pray and focus attention of the significance of water to life.
