NINE European visitors in the same van were slapped with fines totalling almost $5000 after being pulled over by police for not wearing seatbelts at Buronga on Saturday.
NSW Police, which was conducting patrols as part of the weekend’s Operation Drink Drive, fined eight passengers for not wearing seatbelts, including a woman with her upper body hanging out of a van travelling on West Road, Buronga, at 4.10pm on Saturday.
The occupants, from the UK, France, Germany, Sweden and Italy, were all aged in their 20s.
