LETTER: Cotton industry needs to be held to account

The cotton industry is a massive water user and basically exports water in cotton.

The cotton industry is a well geared and oiled machine when it comes to promoting its place and its lobbying of politicians and its image to the public. Cotton is destroying the Darling River.

The coal industry is selling and promoting itself in the same style and making it look good.

The upper Darling should not grow cotton and it should be prime cattle country and be part of the needed food bowl.
