LOCAL dried fruit growers discussed harvesting practices at the first Dried Fruit Australia (DFA) industry event for the year yesterday.
As the season gets under way with the picking of early varieties such as diamond musket, half a dozen farmers talked over wetting operations, flow rates and machinery setup with consultant field officer Stuart Putland.
Third-generation farmer Tony Martin hosted a farm tour on his Merbein property.
