Dareton Local Aboriginal Land Council has been awarded a $25,000 grant to develop a rubbish management plan. 

The local Aboriginal land council is one of 13 communities to receive a share of the $325,000 in funding to improve waste management in discrete Aboriginal communities. 

“The grants provide funding for the development of a rubbish management plan, ­including outlining strategies to prevent litter and illegal dumping and better manage waste and recycling infrastructure and education for the comm­unity,” Member for ­Murray Austin Evans said.
