Funds page raises $72,000 for Irish crash victim: Bring Amy home

THE devastated family of Amy Gill, who died in a car smash at Euston last Wednesday, has been overwhelmed by an outpouring of support with a GoFundMe page last night raising $72,000 in only three days.

The page was set up by Amy’s cousins Tracey and Laura Byrne, and Leanne and Lyndsey Gill, and since it was started on Friday has received more than 1200 donations to help return the 23-year-old’s body home to Ireland.

Irish media reports described the young woman as a “genuine and gentle soul” and strangers have posted their support for the family on the page.
