Councillor slams secrecy over NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian's river visit

A WENTWORTH councillor has criticised Mayor Melisa Hederics’ decision to not tell councillors about last month’s visit by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian until the next afternoon, when Ms Berejiklian had departed. 

During last week’s council meeting, Cr Peter Nunan said he was concerned about the delay in other councillors’ knowledge of Ms Berejiklian’s whirlwind, unannounced visit to Wentworth on the Friday afternoon of January 25. 

“I feel we should have been told,” Cr Nunan said.
