RESIDENTS will have a rare opportunity to have a Coffee with a Cop this month, and share their concerns, alert them to issues in the community, or just have a friendly chat, in a very relaxed environment.

Mildura police community engagement unit Sergeant Kaare Anderson said the initiative had been trialled in other areas of the state with great success, and helped further establish a positive relationship with locals.

“Our relationship with the community is our most important, so this is a way for people to sit down with us in an informal setting which allows them a good opportunity to provide feedback and for us to listen to any concerns they may have,” Sgt Anderson said.
