A MILDURA mother-daughter duo have taken their idea for a farming-based app to the birthplace of Apple, Uber and Google – the Silicon Valley.
Julia Payne, 19, and mum Louise Ackland were joint winners of last year’s Mildura Hackathon, an event organised by Hacker Exchange and La Trobe Accelerator Program that encouraged local entrepreneurs to develop an idea to solve a common problem.
They were awarded two weeks paid exchange to Silicon Valley, USA, to develop their idea through workshops, tours and forums.
