JUNIOR girls cricket is continuing to grow in Sunraysia with the Sunraysia Renegades Cricket League resuming on Monday night at Aero Ovals 3 and 4.

In its second season the league is on its way to eclipsing the 35 girls who registered and played last season according to Cricket Victoria’s Mallee Murray region manager Tom Huf.

“We started the Sunraysia Renegades Cricket League last year with the help of Cricket Australia funding through the Growing Cricket For Girls Fund, we had 35 girls register last year, and the feedback was fantastic – it was great to see a lot of new girls taking up the sport and giving it a try,” he said.
