AFRICAN-born Fiori Giovanni was not destined for an ordinary life.
It was not so much a rebellious streak, but perhaps more a pragmatic view of the world outside her village Maidamu in Eritrea, bordered by Sudan and Ethiopia.
Perhaps it was more her inquisitive, often questioning nature of the world that led her through five continents and 20 countries as a young woman in search of a better place.
