A SPECIAL envoy from the Federal Government heard from drought-stricken community members during a Joint Agency Drought Taskforce meeting on Friday.
Organised by the Wentworth Shire and run by co-ordinator-general for drought, Major General Stephen Day, the meeting gave NSW farmers, business owners and councillors the chance to discuss how the drought has impacted them and the community on a range of aspects.
Wentworth Shire Mayor Melisa Hederics said it was important the community felt their voices were being heard.
