ALL infants should be fed peanuts and egg within their first year of life, even if they are at high risk, according to new Australasian allergy guidelines.
The guidelines, published by the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, (ASCIA) also recommend introducing solid foods at around six months of age, but not before four months.
ASCIA also reported rates of food allergy in Australia are among the highest in the world, with 10 per cent of infants age less than one having a proven food allergy.
