CHILDREN across Sunraysia have the chance to start their year off on a bright note, with the Sunraysia Junior Community Choir being formed to nourish the next generation of vocal talent.

Mavis Francis, who was recently named the winner of the 2018 Elliott Award for contributions to the arts, is co-founding the choir with friend and fellow volunteer Meg Sullivan.

The pair will direct the junior choir and it’s hoped junior members will move into the Sunraysia Community Choir once they turn 16.
