SEVEN years of persistence is what it took for Turkish migrant Garip Ozer to become a recognised electrician in Australia.

After moving to Mildura to live with his wife Seher Ozonal Ozer in early 2012, Mr Ozer started doing odd jobs in the community while studying English at SuniTAFE.

An electrician by trade in his home country, Mr Ozer has always cultivated a passion for electrical devices.
