MURRAY Darling Junction Fishing Club’s Shannon Heywood says the community feels even stronger about ensuring people catch and release following the death of more than a million fish on the Darling River.
Two fishing competitions are being held today, with more than 100 people already registered to throw in a line at either the Murray-Darling junction or Fort Courage monthly competitions.
“The releasing is an important aspect as we still want to keep fishing,” Ms Heywood said.
