United front needed in Sunraysia fruit fly battle

THE importance of a co-ordinated approach to fight fruit fly was highlighted in a workshop tailored for commercial table grape growers yesterday.

About 40 growers were introduced to a pest management strategy targeting fruit fly habitat in each growing area within the Sunraysia region.

It means growers in the Mildura, Paringi, Robinvale and Swan Hill areas will work together in a bid to collectively decrease the fruit fly population.
