LAND values in the Wentworth Shire soared last year, driven by lifestyle change-seekers and strong commodity prices in the rural sector.
NSW Valuer General figures published this week revealed residential land values in the shire on July 1 last year were up 15.8 per cent on 12 months earlier.
Rural land values increased by 37.3 per cent and industrial by 22.2 per cent.
