MORE than $1.6 million NSW Government money will be allocated to upgrade the treatment plant that supplies filtered drinking water to Buronga, Gol Gol and Dareton.
Member for Murray Austin Evans yesterday announced the money would be spent upgrading the Sturt Highway plant, which will have new telemetry control systems installed.
“The installation of the telemetry will make it possible to monitor the plant operations remotely and to be alerted of any process failures before they become critical, minimising the risk of disruption to our communities,” Wentworth Mayor Melisa Hederics said.
