MILDURA recorded its hottest day since February yesterday when the temperature soared to 40.2 degrees just after 3pm.

By 9am the mercury had already hit 32C with the very hot and windy conditions prompting a Total Fire Ban across the Mallee. 

Last year the city’s warmest December day was on the 13th when the mercury tipped 41C, however it was the only day above 40C degrees recorded for the month.
