Muslim students enlighten school

WHAT does it mean to be Muslim?

That was the question put to 120 students and 10 staff at Mildura West Primary school this week.

Murtadha Al-Rubay, and brothers Ali and Mohammad Ehsani, who are all grade six students, put together an interactive presentation for their peers after hearing some negative comments about Muslims in the wider media.

“We were talking to each other about how a lot of people have got the wrong idea about what it means to be a Muslim,” Mohammad said.
