THE developer behind Buronga’s new shopping centre wants it to house a health clinic with GP services to ease the region’s ongoing doctor shortage.

Work has started at the site of the $6 million complex on the Sturt Highway, with an opening date planned for November 2019.

Developer and Sunraysia Petroleum director Steve Saunders yesterday revealed more details of development, which is set to include a full line IGA supermarket, drive-through bottle shop, chemist, cafe and two other specialty stores. Mr Saunders confirmed he was in talks with parties about bringing back GP services to the growing area following the closure of One Health Buronga in September.
