WATCHING many white lanterns transform the dark sky at Saturday’s Light the Night event was a bittersweet moment for organiser Tash Clint.
The Leukaemia Foundation’s third Mildura lantern walk put a spotlight on blood cancer, with participants either holding a blue lantern to symbolise support, gold to remember a loved one, or white for those with blood cancer.
While Ms Clint was overjoyed by the community support, it came with a pang of sadness for the amount of people, both children and adults, she saw holding the white lantern.
