MILDURA West export Rhiann O’Donnell will become the second former Sunraysia cricketer to represent the Hobart Hurricanes franchise.

The 20-year-old has signed with the Hurricanes’ Women’s Big Bash League side, crossing from the Melbourne Renegades, donning the purple worn in recent years by former Irymple and Nursery Ridge fast bowler Jake Reed in the men’s team.

O’Donnell, who is playing in the Women’s National Cricket League for Victoria, has four wickets in two matches so far this season and couldn’t wait to join her new teammates.
