TWO men arrested and charged over a home invasion in Dareton that left a 69-year-old man in a serious condition in hospital, will face court next month.
On Tuesday Dareton police charged Glen Lawson, 23, with aggravated break and enter following the November 1 incident in which two men allegedly forced their way into a Sturt Place house in Dareton and assaulted the resident.
The victim called 000 and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Mildura Base Hospital.
He was later flown to a Melbourne hospital with significant facial injuries and lacerations to his face and legs.
It is believed the 69-year-old victim is yet to be released from hospital, two weeks after the incident.
On November 2 Rodrick Smith was arrested in relation to the assault and remanded when he faced Broken Hill Local Court the same day.
Both men will face Wentworth Local Court on December 4.
