Victorian election 2018 Mildura: Ali Cupper says infrastructure is first if she holds balance

INFRASTRUCTURE funding will be more important than social policy for independent Ali Cupper, should she find herself holding the balance of power after the Victorian election.

Ms Cupper spent part of yesterday campaigning in Robinvale, where she met business leaders and community members concerned about the availability of housing and the state of the ­Robinvale-Sea Lake Road.

She and fellow independent candidate Steve Timmis have both told voters they would back the party able to deliver a better deal for Mildura if they found themselves in a similar position to former independent MP Russell Savage, having to choose a side to form government.
