RECENT rain across NSW and Victoria has provided some limited improvement in soil moisture, but is by no means drought-breaking.
That was the message from Murray-Darling Basin Authority chief executive Phillip Glyde after storms dumped significant rainfall across the Mallee on Monday night.
Mr Glyde said the rain had not resulted in any significant streamflows or improvements in dam water levels.
