A PIECE of history was planted at Gol Gol Public School yesterday.

Students, staff and families from Gol Gol Public School and Pomona Public School held a Remembrance Day ceremony, which finished with the planting of a “lone pine” that was gifted to the Grade 6 students by Dr Brendon Nelson at the War Memorial in Canberra.

Armistice co-ordinators Janelle Lee and Kaye Cook said the pine was planted near the school’s memorial garden that was established over the past few years.
