A PLAN for a protected cycling and walking track along Sixteenth Street, recently given the green light by Mildura councillors, will require approval by the Victorian Planning Minister.
The minister will need to sign off an amendment to the Mildura Planning Scheme to see the council’s vision for a Sixteenth Street greenway come to life after it was included in the Mildura South Strategic Framework Plan in 2007.
According to a council report, the greenway will form a high-quality landscape corridor to “facilitate and encourage walking and cycling”.
