UNION representatives at the Wemen Solar Farm say the project’s contractor RCR Tomlinson treated workers “disgracefully” by ordering 115 electricians off the job yesterday.
Owned by company WIRSOL, the 110MW project, located an hour from Mildura, was originally scheduled for connection next week.
Electrical Trades Union secretary Troy Knight said 115 electricians were informed at 10am yesterday they were out of a job due to “productivity concerns”.
